RECYCLING PERFORMANCE FACTORY (R.P.F.)
Recycling Performance Factory isn't only a theatre company, but also a platform for research and experimentation on theatre, its elements and functions. The name of company "The Performance Recycling Factory" comes from the homonymous manifesto about the theatre, written from 2008 to 2009, at the same time that the company saw the light. R.P.F. is a manifesto in progress that is the result of a quest to develop meaningful artistic research and expression about the entire process of theatre creation including finding the first imaginary idea, rehearsals and the final representation.
According to our manifesto, the theatre functions as a recycling factory whose raw materials are the five theatre elements: Actor, Text, Space, Time and Public; and all these elements must go through the recycling process, the final product being Performace and / or Recycled Theatre.
Throughout our trajectory we continue to ask ourselves following questions: What are purposes and fuctions of theatre today? What constitutes a theatre representation? What are the differences between Performance art and Theatre? and what effects and impacts theatre can produce for its spectators?
As we understand it, the objective of our company is to put P.R.F. manifesto into practice and apply it as a method. The values of our company are its experimental nature and the desire to go beyond the limits and obstacles of communication that exist between the public, interpreters and text. The company's activities are developed within the following main lines: research, production, representation and teaching.
