PERSAPHONE

In January 2015, Sabri Zekri who was at the time artist resident at Nau Côclea art production centre in the north of Spain, was invited to Co-direct a collective creation with the collaboration of the La cuentista theatre members group in Barcelona.

 

The task was to devise a performance in Barcelona during five days based around the theme of identity and border with professional theatre artists and performers from Spain,Chile, France, Iran, Egypt, Portugal and Colombia. The final output was a multidisciplinary collective creation named  Persaphone based on true story about an Iranian woman poet falling into a relationship with an Egyptian.
